Hindol the Sub-Divisional town of Dhenkanal is situated at a distance of 60 Kilometers from the district Head Quarter town of Dhenkanal.It is situated 29 Kilometers from Gudiakateni on N.H 55. There is no direct link by railway. The nearest Railway Station is located at Hindol road and Angul both are at a distance of 32 Kms from Hindol. Geographically Hindol is situated on the South west part of the district and surrounded by Reserve forest from the east, south and west. ODR from Dhenkanal to Bhapur touches to MDR 19(A) at Bhapur which continues up to Mahidharpur of Angul district and passes through Hindol.
